“Whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.”
Our title speaks of a Greek ancient wisdom that has served humanity some hard lessons for centuries up to our time.
Actually, the Bible expressed way ahead this wisdom in the form of God’s prophesy from eternity. But we are constrained to elucidate this wisdom from the standpoint of the mortals of this world who are given to understand or appreciate more man’s doctrine than God’s doctrine even if both doctrinal versions speak of the same thought. For majority of humans are not keen about the messages of the Bible or they feel uncomfortable or outrightly averse to hearing them. It is not our unusual experience that our citations of biblical passages would send our listeners’ eyebrows twitching upwards that could shame the air of a flirtatious nympho “Bading,” to disparage us despite the hard, obvious truth of our quotes.
The simple reason for this, as we pointed out repeatedly in our previous write-ups, Satan rules the earth, especially in our present perilous times in these last days to which God has destined humanity. We cannot expect people under the dominion of Satan to have the full enlightenment of the truth, much less love it.
We thus leave God’s wisdom accordingly and wade into its counterpart wisdom of this world — the ancient Greek proverbs on madness aforesaid that worldly men appreciate better, if not best.
The spectacle of the raid and ravage of KOJC from June 10 up to this
minute of September 4, 2024, displays in full color the circus and pageantry of madness, the sheer feats of madmen led by Mr. Marcos.

For a mere service of a warrant of arrest for a holy man, more than 2000 armed-to-the-teeth policemen were deployed, and yet the warrant served was not even directed to Pastor Quiboloy but to another person residing in Metro Manila. They served the warrant with extreme force and violence: ramming through the fence and gates of the KOJC compound, excavating its holy cathedral as part of their searching process, searching the whole grounds and buildings of KOJC, human and non-human barricading of several areas to prevent the free movement of KOJC members, and converting the KOJC entire premises, an otherwise flawlessly clean compound, into their playground, sleeping quarters, garbage and toilet — all in the name of (inappropriate) warrant. The video footages of all the policemen’s abusive and shameless activities in the KOJC premises beamed to the whole world is devoid of any redeeming legal rationale. The PNP proceedings in the KOJC area were total lawlessness. Total insanity. Total madness.
Critical thinking will show that the KOJC fiasco is a microcosm of the countrywide state of government madness. We have seen how the President proudly proclaimed as his achievements, flood control, improved economic lives of the people, lowered prices of prime commodities, huge increase of direct foreign investments into the country — to name but a few — but realities on the ground debunks them. This is crazy.

Recently, Marcos publicly claimed that the policemen in the KOJC were unarmed despite video footages overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Then later he blustered that his violent and abusive policemen were blameless, but the fault lies in the court that issued the warrant. What kind of thinking is this? This is plain crazy.
It is obvious that madness has crept into the DNA of the president and so madness will certainly continue to bedevil our miserable country.
With this kind of scenarios that Marcos is projecting himself to the public, we cannot help but advert to the fantasizing of Hitler that he had a superior race which should thereby dominate and govern the world. Another crazy claim that did not measure up to the realities on the ground. He was another madman that fell victim, the most famous victim in our century, to the damnation of this Greek wisdom of self-destruction that awaits a madman.
If only to bolster our hope for a better government, permit us to quote the wisdom of another Greek sage and writer who came in much later to express his own version of the doom of madman, Sophocles said: “Evil appears as good in the minds of those whom god leads to destruction.”
Hoping to inspire more endurance and patience among the KOJC members, be cheerful, your and your countrymen equally seeking truth and justice — deliverance is at hand!
