Desperate times call for desperate measures. There is no denying the desperation with these vain attempts to revive accusations of links to the rebel movement against Jun Evasco. It is merely a rehash of a discredited practice that has long bean rendered irrelevant.
Winston Churchill once said that one always measures friendships by how they show up in bad weather. Jun has always been a reliable friend through good times and bad. He does not cease to be a friend just because someone digs up old dirt and try to present it as new.
No doubt, the man can defend himself. He has fought bigger wars than his critics give him credit for. Nevertheless, this piece must be said to put to rest this irritant that pops up obviously to distract us from the bigger task at hand.
Whoever is sowing intrigue against Jun is doing Maisug a great disservice and should be separated from this cause without delay. They can do their worst elsewhere but not in the name of Maisug which Jun has painstakingly guided from its conception.
This will be the last time distractions like this will be considered with restraint. With it is the warning that the next one will be dealt with accordingly.
No doubt, Maisug has a noble cause to fight. For all those who have answered the call to stand up and be counted, there is no turning back. Those who attempt to derail Maisug, whether from without or within, is fighting for the enemy and therefore shall be considered as such.
Those who sent these saboteurs obviously are feeling the heat. It proves that Maisug is fast gaining ground. It should also serve as a warning to all those who have embraced this honorable cause to be on guard. This will not be neither be easy and safe.
We are at the crossroads of history. Maisug has chosen to take the path, not of least resistance but one that leads to a better government and a better nation.
