Atty Jordan M. Pizarras is one lawyer l have associated and worked with extensively for more than 20 years. Commissioned as the external and litigation lawyer of our big business group, which is a conglomerate of corporate entities in the Philippines that owned and operated top-grade hotels, restaurants and beach and leisure resorts, such as the Silahis lnternational Hotel, Puerto Azul Beach Hotel, Puerto Azul Beach and Country Club, and Fridays Boracay Beach Resort amongst others—the veritable tourists havens whose reputation was renowned worldwide—Atty Pizarras on an almost daily basis collaborated with me as this business conglomerate’s Vice President For Legal and Administration to address the grave and consequential legal issues badgering our group’s companies until my retirement in March 2020.
It was under this setting that l came to know and appreciate the heart and mind of Jordan and size up his intellect and intelligence, enabling me to assess in the process his moral disposition. My more than twenty years of working with him certainly gave me that kind of microscopic clarity of views as to his personality and character.
Gifted with exceptional understanding and intelligence, Jordan has a high sense of justice that he pursued the law and the truth with hard-driving zeal. It is no wonder then that we never lost a legal case under his management and direction of the entire legal controversies that our business conglomerate figured in. Our companies revelled in the confidence they reposed in his competence as their legal guardian.
Jordan’s moral foundation is built on a rock. He is a Bible- reading-and-abiding lawyer, just like l am. In my many meetings with him, we would discuss Bible verses in his office where likewise Bible messages and tidbits are conspicuously posted on its walls.
I got wind only yesterday, April 23, that Atty. Jordan Pizarras is running for Congress in the 1st District of Bohol. Residents of this district should be
very lucky to have Atty. Pizarras as their Congressman. I guarantee that he will serve them well, knowing this man.
